About Earth Hour

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights
for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability

This year it is hoped that more than 1 BILLION people will turn off their lights.

This Saturday we would like every family at Moreland Primary School to take part in the Earth Hour Challenge.

Turn off your lights for I hour. Take a photo of your family and send it to us. Senior students can use their laptops with photo-booth.

You can bring in your photo before the end of term or send us your photo through the school web site: moreland.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

What is your message to save our planet from green house gases and global warming?

At MORELAND PRIMARY SCHOOL, at 12.30 on Friday the 28th of March, we will turn off the lights and all electrical
appliances, including computers, for one hour.
We will have our own M.P.S. Earth Hour.
